Longtubes and H-pipes

Looking at longtubes for my 98 GT. Found a set of Macs for 350 brand new. Instead of buying the 300 dollar prochamber that they recommend (ahem..cost almost as much as the headers themselves) .Can I use a BBK H-pipe with the Macs? It is 180 bucks cheaper than the prochamber.

You can use any brand mid-pipe with the longtubes as long as it is a shorty mid-pipe.
