Longtubes for a 351???

Yeah, I've heard the Hooker fox body headers fit pretty good. A friend of mine had MAC headers(I think...pretty sure). He had to notch the k-member on the passenger side and he said they're a PITA to install.

You could always use Fox Body headers, and either weld in a bung for the EGR or delete it.

A few... http://www.texashotrods.com/storefrontprofiles/deluxeSFshop.aspx?sid=1&sfid=70952&c=49678 (halfway down page)

Some other places to try are MAC, Hooker, Hedman, Coast High Performance.

So that is the only difference? Hell my car hasn't had EGR since I put the original HCI setup on it!

Which brand would you guys go with? I'm going to have the headers Jet hot coated. Hooker? BBK? or MAC?

With almost all the fox longtubes you try to install in a fox you will have issues with the steering shaft. If you are willing to pay someone to modify a few of the tubes and possibly shift the motor back a little then you can make them work. But, the Hooker long tubes aren't cheap either. For $200 more you can get a set of Kooks or Accufabs. You may spend that having the hooker modified. If your making enough power to need long tubes then its worth spending the extra for the right parts. With the shorty headers out there right now its not wothr the money or the hassle to do it for only 15 hp. I've made over 700 rwhp through a set of shorties. I've had the kooks also. At that poower level the kooks netted me about 30 rwhp.

Hmmm....what are the biggest shorty headers out there? Would the Accufab midlength headers give more power than the shorties? Also I have never delt with Kooks. I understand they are "custom". How can they be "custom" without your car there?
