I was on a field trip with my daughter wednesday and saw this.

Never seen one in person, thought it was kinda cool. Of course i was the only guy there and all the moms were wondering why i was snappin pics of this ugly black car across the street.

I pass a guy on the highway almost every day that drives that exact looking car.

Was there anything special about the mclarens? I don't know much about them.

Well, other than the fact that that model is a Capri that has had the top cut off........

McClarens are mechanically unchanged from a regular Mustang. They're a chopped top Capri or Mustang coupe (depending on what year) with a dressed up interior and some subtle body trim mods. There's one profiled in the November issue of Modified Mustangs.
