Tranny cooler is going in today. Converter is going in whenever my buddies and I have time. :nice:

sweet man..........you got a t-shirt.

how much if you dont mind telling us????? the converter lol

did you get it direct from edge????

what size converter is it? 10"?

what made you want to go with only a 2,600 stall? i think you get a free re-stall correct?

He told me he bought the "Mild Street Edge" one which is a modified stock converter:

The "Mild Street Edge" series can be custom configured for stall math as high as 2400-2600rpm and still retain the street manners needed and remain efficient with nitrous application. All wear surfaces are fitted for enclosed bearings and the drive hub and spline insert are made of 4130 chrome moly steel. The impeller and turbine are furnace brazed and the lock up feature is upgraded to the heavy duty damper and the Kevlar friction.

Warranted for a full year with a 100% satisfaction, money back guarantee.
This converter sells for 374.50 plus shipping from EdgeRacing.

The free restall is a PI converter.

The "Street Edge "is the one they are sending me. They JUST started shipping them for our cars. I'll should have one of the first one from production. There are some people floating around that got the "Beta versions if you will", but I haven't found anyone that's had one yet.

The Street Edge is a smaller converter and can be stalled to anything. It costs a bit more though.

Sweet! I want one bad! What made you choose the Edge over the PI? JW.

Price, and I have heard lots of good things about Edge converters. I thought I would give them a try.

Andre said my Street Edge is being built early next week... hopefully all goes well this go round.

Good luck man. BTW - did you get the 100hp rating on the t-shirt like I did?

Let me know how you like your street edge when you get it installed. The t-shirt is pretty cool. Actually, mine had the 450hp rating. :rlaugh: :jester:

The Edge is about half the price of a PI and will do the same thing.

I have a PI multi disk lockup- they're $1,000. The Edge is about $400 for a single disk. I dont think they are 9" though.{/QUOTE]

I have heard that they will do the same thing as well. Let's hope this is the truth.

Can you post pics of where/how you mount it? I have been meaning to install mine but I can't decide where exactly I want to put it.

Sure thing. I will get some pictures tomorrow morning and post them up before I go to work. :nice:

what size is the converter

The same size as stock I believe. I will confirm this when I install it.

I went with it because I plan on having another one built when my h/c/i combo is done and supercharger is in. Also, it fit my budget really well right now.

I am told that it is the same size as a stock converter, but it is built completly from scratch.

SN95StangMan, here are the pictures that you requested. It may be a little hard to see where I have it mounted, but it was the best I could do as far as pictures go.

If you look underneath the car through the holes in the front bumper, you will see the stock tranny cooler, and it's two brackets and bolts that hold it on. I used the bolt on the right of the stock tranny cooler, and stuck a bolt (w/ nut) through an empty hole next to it to mount the cooler.

Where I mounted it, the supplied 4 feet of hose was the perfect amount ro run this cooler in-lin with the stock one.

If you look from the front, this is what you see. Hope I was able to help.

Right.... they gut it and change everything out. :nice:

The street edge is smaller and so the bolt holes stick out like this:

Like I said in the other thread... I would have the Mild Street Edge too if it wasn't for a small screw up. I can't wait to get my converter.... I've been trying to get one in my car all summer long. :(
