let me think a little smaller here for a sec...

how much to just get my mufflers changed out and replaced with Magnapacks?

then from there... is it possible to get just the catback replaced with the side exhaust system and connected to my existing bassani-X?

cats run about $100 each so i'm looking at options. i'd like to keep this relatively inexpensive or else i'll just bite the bullet and buy a new full bassani catback.

Just to have the mufflers switched out with magnapacks would prob cost about $175 for everything. From there I believe we'd be able to do side exhaust using your x-pipe, just not sure about the subframe connectors. We could look at all that when you came in for the magnapacks though.

ok! so... what's the schedule like, where are you? think there's time this weekend to take a look and see what we can do?

heh, figures that i wouldn't see this until i got off work! We are all closed up for this weekend. Usually our main exhaust guy is gone on the weekends, but I know he will be there Sat. the 23rd. If you want I can set you up an appointment for that day (schedule is completely empty so far that day, we are open 8am-3pm) and then we'll have everything waiting for you. If you want to set it up during the week sometime that will work too, just let me know.

i'm not hearing good things about swapping out the spintechs for 'packs. so... how much to get a tru-x mid pipe and replace my bassani-x?

i don't know.. this is all coming apart.

Get the spintech side exhaust......they have the side exhaust mufflers. I bet it will sound A LOT better than the packs...but that could also just be opinion. The bassani isn't a true x like the Dr. gas or VRS pipes? Wow....that much money i better have it

yeah... originally i wanted Dr.Gas with my spintechs but Dr.Gas doesn't make midpipes for my model of 95 GT (apparently there are two kinds out there).

Dr.Gas said that they're working on it (that was a year ago) maybe they have something by now.

this whole thing was supposed to be a quick easy inexpensive exhaust change. now its getting expensive and complicated.

i think i'm gonna sit on what i have for the time being and wait until the LT's go in before changing exhaust. i'll deal with the x-pipe rasp for now.

sorry Ethereal.

wait! so you guys weld huh?

how much would it be to weld my subframe connectors on?

Dude just take it to Brads and have it professionally done if you can't weld. It's not something you want to mess up and have off center/alignment if you ever want to build up the power in your car. Some things really need to be done right...thats one of them.

yeah i know

i already had it messed up once... SPEEDWARE MOTORSPORTS... omg. I couldn't believe it

Dr.Gas has tubes made to fit under subframes and low clearance cars, it goes from an oval to rectangle, then back to round or you could just have square exhaust tips, the also have rectangular flat mufflers too.

They're great for some stuff, just expensive. Even for the stuff they're good at I wouldn't go to them.

What'd you have them do?
subframe connectors... they messed them up royally... even the ford tech's called me to let me know casually
