looking at a 35000 mile fox

I'm at almost 270k right now. If I keep racking up miles as much as I have been over the past couple of years, I'll definitely be over the 300k mark in no time. I just hope the motor is up to lasting for another 150k after its last run-through (was rebuilt around 150k).

While the mechanic mentioned above DOES have a valid point about the seals and such soon slobbering and causing headaches, still ... 35k miles is 35k miles, no matter how you look at it. The CHASSIS, alone, is what should be the main concern - motors are much more easily replaced than the whole friggin' car, y'know?

From a DD standpoint, honestly, I wouldn't consider an ultra-low-mileage Fox for those reasons ... plus the fact that I'd be paranoid as hell that some yahoo without a license/insurance would destroy it on the street, it would be a theft magnet, and/or I'd get raped in an insurance settlement. But as a garage queen/weekend toy ... awwwww, yeah. I'd be all over that. Ummm ... of course, that would be assuming that I had that kind of budget to even consider it... :)

My engines is original still running fast uses oil minor leaks burns some always has runs smooth!!!! 220,000 milles!!!!!!!!:rolleyes:
 
the car has very little rust except for the mufflers which i removed tonite.the were shot to say the least.while i was under the car the ONLY rust i saw was by the rear tail pipe hanger which rusted a little and feals week now.i consider my self pretty knowledgeable when it comes to mustangs and cars in general and the cars mileage looks correct the guys story lined up with the carfax and even if its 135000 miles it is real good shape.it is no show queen so driving everyday will be no problem and since i brought it home it still sitting in the same pace with no oil drips at all not even the dreaded rear main seal.the car has 2 dings that will be taken care of the i will put the exhaust from my notch on this car along with the ponys and drive it as much as possible while modding it slowly(lol yeah rite)
