I want to install a s/c and wanted to see what system works the best and makes for the cleanest install. It's just hard to find any 351w's with a ATI or a Vortec.

Someone on this forums has pics of a 302 with a vortech kit for the 351 Cobra R. I think they said it was a hybrid kit.

The kit for the 351 and 302 in a SN-95 is the same.

so if the kit is the same, then the brackets(alternator and such) on an sn5.0 can be used on a 5.8? sorry if this is a newb question, but i haven't done any thinking on this subject.

Yea Ben. All the bracketry and such are the same for both blocks. That kinda small stuff helps with a budget swap to a 5.8.

I am sure they are, but someone on here posted pics of a vortech kit they said was for the 95 cobra R with the 351. It had an inlet tube similar to those used by fox kits, but I am guessing had the SN95 mounting brackets which I thought were different than fox brackets.

The inlet tube is the same 9in the SN-95 kits. The onlu issue you will run into is the fender apron may have to be massaged a little! If you set the motor back it will have to be done. The fox body kit is different. When instaling a 351w in a fox, you have to have the fox brackets modified.

Yea i was gonna say since 94-95 brackets mount on the heads, the only difference between the 302 and 351 will be fender clearance issues. The geometry between the brackets and TB should be the same between the 2 engines in a 94-95.

That is my 95 with the Hybrid kit from Vortech.

I had to cut a hole in my fender to run the S/C intake piping. Very tight to the Strut tower. Otherwise it was awesome kit.
