Looking for a 32v...

I'm in the market to get a new engine. I'd love to get my hands on a 99+ cobra motor but for one, it's hard to come across a wrecked cobra and two, when you do, the motor's probably gone already. So here's my Q:
Is there another car that ford/lincoln/mercury released that uses the 32v 4.6L?

Or how about a DOHC 5.4L out of a Lincoln Navigator? How would that work out under the hood of my 98? Would existing T-45 mate to the 5.4? Probably not...

Let me hear what you guys think.

The Murauder, Aviator, and Mark VIII (or whatever # it is) use the 4.6L DOHC 4V. The 5.4L DOHC would a pretty tight fit and would need an intake manifold made for it. There is a company that has developed an intake for the 5.4L DOHC (I forget which one) but I'm sure it's purty expensive. Also consider the 5.4L SOHC Triton motor. Theres a few people who have swapped those in their Mustangs. There was even an article in either 5.0 Mustang or MM&FF about such a swap. Good luck

Dont consider a SOHC 5.4L. ITs a waste of your money. The heads will not flow near as good as the DOHC heads will. You would be better off with a DOHC 4.6L than the extra displacement with restrictive heads. The navigator motors have been the best easily purchased and cheapest 5.4L DOHC option. Also, the intake ports are larger on the navigator then any other DOHC head. Modular performance makes a spider type intake to bolt right on the intake. You'll most likely need a 4" cobra R or cowl hood to make it fit.

Its basically a direct fit but my recommendation is to rebuild the engine before dropping it in so you leave yourself with more options once the engine goes in.

voll is right though its a tight fit but also a direct one...transmission should bolt right up also.
