im trying to find a rebuilt of salvaged AOD w/low miles for my 84 5.0 some i have seen say 86-93 but they are AOD right?? would one of those fit in my car im just wondering what transmissions will fit in my car and if they dont what modifications i would need to allow them to fit the reason i am asking is that there are tons of V8 thunderbirds and crown vics at pull a part and i could get a tranny for $40 ive heard they will fit but im not sure any help would be great
