Looking for a new look

well, due to clearance issues, I'm in the market for a new hood. Looking to go with a 3" - 3.5" cowl hood. Anyone know who makes one? I see steeda sells a 3" cowl...is this made by kaenen? I don't want any junk

You might not need 4" i did a 408 thought i needed 4" but only really needed 2".

my 2.5" cowl does not currently clear. i HIGHLY doubt a 2" cowl would clear...

Honestly though, what about the Cobra R hood? Don't those go to 3"?

it touches now, and when the motor torques it would nail the hood. i dont think 3" would do it. ugh, i guess i will bite the bullet and get the 4". im kind of happy to get a new hood, but i'm kind of upset i have to spend $500 on it

check website classifieds for used hoods and keep your fingers crossed for a matching color

www.mustanghoods.net has em cheap and alot of selection, i heard they are good, i was going to get them but ended up finding a 4" cervinis for $100 so went that route

isnt champion the same company as an old one that went out of business? cincinatti composites?

i like his car. i need the clearance towards the front though, so i'm hoping going with a 4" it will give me some more room towards the nose

How about some different motor mounts? Thats alot cheaper then buying a new hood and getting it painted, not to mention the fact anything larger then a 2-2.5" cowl looks completely retarded. Well IMHO!

i have convertible mounts in the car as it is. the oil pan looks like it's barely touching the steering rack so it will have to be shimmed up.

where it kind of slopes down and has the vents is where i need it. im not too fond of it either
