Looking for F Cam comments

I recently got a Shortblock 302 With a F Cam already in it, I was wondering what you might have to say about this cam, and what heads you would run with it if it is any good, the guy i got it from said he likes the F cam best so im looking for other opinions, and also what rockers 1.6? 1.7?
I plan on running my Trick flow intake and 24# injectors with the motor .... So any comments would help.....

my idle is choppy, however pulls to 6k nicely. Dont plan on staying with it when i rebuild motor.

CAn you (or anyone else) compare this to the B303? I have the B303 and I've been curious for quite sometime about the F303 and it's idle carictaristics compared to the B303.

well im not sure how it compares. the b303 is a mild cam i've been told, and is alot less choppy and lopes less then the E cam.. the F-cam was designed for Forced Induction.... (i was told this by 4 people). but i was told its better to get a custom cam to fit your specific combo

i have the f-cam with ported gt-40 heads and 1.7 rollers.

nice choppy idle. good mid-high rpm power. powers comes on at about 3k rpm.

requires a stall converter. im kind of a dog off the line but my rpms jump to 3k fast.......

Mild is not a word I've ever heard used for the B303 cam before. :D

The B303 is very rough idling. And it is definitly has more lope than the E303 as I've heard both side by side.

Custom cams are always better, but if off the shelf is pretty close and it saves you a bunch of money, why not use it.

actually the e-cam is a better power adder cam, 220* duration.... the f-cam has a 226* duration

lifts are
b-303.....480
e-303.....498
f-303......512

the b-cam is a little more than a stock cam, stock is around .468

A lot of poweradder cams have a lot of durration, it's in the LSA, most poweradder applications have 114LSA or more although that isn't the whole story, overlap is what truley defines a blower/NA cam The E and B cams have 112LSA, but the E has no overlap, the F has a little, but a lot more durration.

I am currently running the F cam w/ eldelbrock heads,1.6 rockers, GT40 intake and 30lb injectors. My car idles pretty good. The mid-range and top-end power is great.3rd and 4th gear is awesome especially on the juice. My last motor had the E cam and its a good cam too,but I would not go back. My friend has the B cam.It might be slightly better on the bottom end but not much. His car also has a very rough idle.If u are going to changed it I would go w/ the E and not the B
