I'm looking to replace the heavy 2000 Cobra R's I currently own. I want to run 305's or 315's on the rear. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really like the Steeda Ultralights. I know they're forged wheels; can these be widened to 10" or 10.5". What are some other lightweight 18" or 19" wheels that will fit on my '96. Also what are the offsets to use for 10"/10.5" rear and 8.5"/9" front. Thanks alot.

Problem is, lightweight and 18" rims don't usually belong in the same sentence...

CCW's are pretty light though weighing in at around 22lbs a piece...

wheel pro.

any FORGED wheel will be light weight. there are some 17 inch centerlines that weigh about 12 lbs a piece.
its great when someone pulls up to you thinking your hevy azz 18 inch rims wont hook...

WELD RACING came out with a light weight 20 inch rim for the 05's, they should have 18,s too/
check out the new boyd coddington forged wheels.

or ask my buddy wayne at (wayneswheels.net) they are pretty damn good about getting lightweight rims.

18x9 Steeda Ultra Light wheels. Sorry they aren't 18x10 though. The Ultra light II wheels are 18x9.5 though.

Steeda Ultra Lights:

Steeda Ultra Light IIs:

Then there is always the Saleen options (18x9 or 18x10.5):

How much does theb 18x10.5's weigh? I really like the Steeda's and the Saleen's. Can I get the Steeda's widened?

You can TRY calling steeda about this, but their 18x9 or 9.5" wheels are already $400 PER wheel (in chrome). I really can't imagine what they'd be for an extra 1-1.5" WIDER. They would probably bump the price to 500 per wheel...assuming they would even take the time to do this for you.

STEEDA's #: (954) 960-0774

If they CAN get you some Ultra Lights that are 10"+ wide, please PM me!!! I want some myself.

Here are some CCWs that someone was talking about. They look like the Steeda Ultralight IIs (only i think these CCWs only come in 9" wide too...and are expensive) Honestly though, I REALLY can't see these being "LIGHT WEIGHT" what-so-ever. STEEDA is the only company that can say 18" wheels and "light weight" in the same sentence. Everything else is really heavy with that extra inch over 17" wheels...hell, some 17" wheels are heavy.

This is a 20" (rear) wheel on this 03 Cobra. This guy (a stangnet member) has 19s in the front, and 20" rears

The steeda's are pricey but dont weigh nearly anything and are GORGEOUS wheels in person... If I had the money, SSR GT3's or the Steeda Ultra Lites

They are ugly, and did you notice they are on an import? I bet those wouldn't look to good on a stang. And I personally dont like them, just my 2 cents though.
