Looking for LOUD!

Anyone running dynomax bullit mufflers on their 96-98 cobras. I'm wanting something load but also sounds good. I talked my buddy in to putting them on his 94 GT, but I know they will sound different on the 5.0. Any sugg?

I've got Packs and a O/R H, would I be better off with an O/R X or just keep the H?

IMO keep the H....unless you want a more of a higher raspy sound. Don't get me wrong my firends X-Pipe on his 96 GT S/C sounds great but I like the H has deeper tone to it.

I've got an O/R H pipe w/ 2 ch flows right now... my Spintechs are on the way, be here day after Xmas.. from what everyone says, these things are WAY loud.. it was either these or 1chamber flows, but these should be better sounding.. we'll see.

Good move with the Spintechs. They sound incredible on a 4.6. I'm putting them on my 95 Cobra with a 347 and a Bassani Cat X-pipe. The reason I'm changing my exhaust, currently, flowmaster 2 chambers, is that when I put the Cat x-pipe on , it made my car too quiet. Well, maybe not quiet, just not as loud. I also heard them on a friends car, a 93 w/ a Cat h-pipe, when we went and had our cars dyno'd. It was awesome, especially at 4,000 rpm and above. If you can, post a soundbit when you get them on. I'm sure alot of us would like to hear how it sounds.

Yeah I will end up posting a sound file or two, I'll probably end up borrowing a vid cam and make a movie or two. I've seen there is a real lack of sounds for spintechs, but from what I've heard about them they should be awesome Plus I've been really wanting to make a little video of me and some buddies cars. We have some pretty nice rides in our garage.. my cobra is probably the slowest of the bunch *for now* ('68 camaro 332, '94 GT 331 stroker)

I'm runnin' Dynomax Bullits on my 03 Cobra w a Bassani x-pipe with hi-flo cats and the sound is wicked! You can get the Bullits for $30 or less each, so bang for the buck is a plus too! Originally I was runnin' 2 chamber mufflers, but they weren't talkin' right with or without the cats. I was a little skeptical about the Bullits at first, because I thought they would be too obnoxious. I rolled the dice though and haven't regretted it since--go with the Bullits, Man!

How would a full Bassani system sound?

How much would install run and what gains should I expect?

I am thinking the mid length headers...I hear those are good and not harmful, and an offroad x-pipe, and catback. I will need a pair of simms for the offroad pipe too right?

What kind of hp and sound should I expect?

Any better systems? I would also like the better metal not this new stuff I see them selling for cheaper...I live in Central IN so we do use salt and sand from time to time I don't want **** turning nasty.

anyone have any sound clips, I am ready for mine to be louder to. course dont know how much louder you can get over long tubes and o/r h pipe with mac flowpaths.

O/R X with 2 chamber flows is very load, and raspy, if you like that thing. I switched to a catted H and for my taste much better sound. By-the-way, I still have the X pipe with MIL eliminators if anyone is interested.

I have just a Bassani cat-bak on my '01 Cobra, and I get compliments all the time. It sounds great. I want to buy the headers, x-pipe, and high-flow cats, but my Bassani dealer will not install them. He'll sell them to me, but I have to put them on. I heard it was a bitch installing the headers, but I wonder if it would really make the sound better. I do want a louder sound, but I am worried that I might lose the sound I already have.

Anyone out there have a full Bassani system?

i've HEARD a full bassani system and loved it to death. Loud and deep. It would strike fear in any other driver. It was a full bassani real street system with long tubes, catted x-pipe, and turn downs that pointed not down but at a 90 degree angle towards the side fo the car, it would SO loud when you woul dbe in a car next to it or on the sidewalk as it went by. I am definetly going to get it for my stang.

Do you know what year that was? I really don't know if it matters, but it would be noce to know if it was an '01

I'd say a few combos i've heard...

one chambers + off road x + longtubes = loud
magnapacks + off road x + longtubes = loud
spintech + off road x + longtubes = louddddd

if you don't wanna do longtubes, definitely give the ones I listed above a try. I had an 01 gt before the cobra, and I went with a Dr Gas off road x with Magnapacks... so incredibly loud.. You could easily hear me a mile away. Right now on the cobra I have magnapacks welded in and they are semi-loud. I'm changing that out for a magnaflow catback and bassani ss off road x.. ! it'll be loud! best of luck

My wife's car has O/R H with 2 chamber flows... Sounds GREAT! I like it more than mine.

I have O/R H w/ Dynomax Ultraflows.. not as loud as hers, but comes alive in the RPM's..

My best friend has O/R H w/ Spintechs and it is way louder than both.. really raspy. Sounds good, sounds more like an LS1 w/ cut out.

You will probably have to try different set ups to get the sound you want, or listen to a lot of diferent cars. GOOD LUCK!

one of the main reason i went with an 4 valve was the car with the o/r H and the flows mentioned above. i gt a good deal on my spintechs and wanted something nobody else around here was runnin. and alt99 is right, my car is LOUD!!. sounds loud but calm until i rape on it, then it get ear bleedin loud. alittle poppin in there, but mainly with the top up, its not that bad.

I had o/r H pipe with 1 chamber flowmasters. LOUD, sounded like a dream at idle and drive by, but at WOT it was too much. BrianV send me a PM if you wanna hear my 1 chambers.
