question for the vert guys, did any company ever make a hard top for the fox? i've seen companies make aftermarket hard tops for other cars... but i'm new to stangs/foxes.

Well thanks for all of the info guys, I did buy the black one on Saturday. Car has 83k and is bone stock down the the air silencer and exhaust (I forgot how quite and smooth a stock 5.0 can be). The car was garaged its whole life and has some wind noise with the top up (what convertible doesnt), but there is not one squeak or rattle over bumps, it is extremely tight. The guy did have it stored with the top down so it was a pita getting it up, but its in decent shape. Ill probably replace the top next spring. Have some chrome ponies for it but thats it, shes staying stock. Thanks again for the input, very happy with the purchase.

Wow nice find. May I ask what did you pay for such a clean ride? I want a convertible but the ones I come buy the body and rust is ridiculous not to mention the tops is in bad shape.

Paid $4500, I think its a solid deal. Getting hard to find these in 100% stock, unabused shape. Got it from the original owner who had it garaged since new. He had all of the paperwork, manuals, window sticker etc. which was cool to have. Car was $21,856 brand new. That was a lot of cash back in 1990

Great price. I don't mind paying for a car that much or even spending at least 6000.00 when it's in a non molested state. I prefer a car in that shape and condition because the owners can tell you every little detail from day one it came off the lot. That's the all time best Carfax IMO.

Thanks, yours isnt half bad either. Thanks for all of the nice comments guys. Since it will mostly be the fiance's toy it will stay stock and since she will hardly put any miles on it anyway, I'm sure I can get at least what I paid when Im ready to let go of it. I still cant get over how damn quiet and smooth this thing is. Its not often I own a Mustang that I can actually hear the radio in while Im driving
