looking for side exhaust rocker covers?

Im looking into adding side exhaust on my car, 1 more little custom touch. so far, the only rocker covers ive found are the e2 ones for 200 dollars a piece from mustang depot. i like the way they look, but does anyone know of any other options. i want rocker covers and not just the side exhaust. thanks!

Have you ever seen a mustang with the side exhaust like you're talking about? I realize its your car and your decision, but I think you should reconsider. That trend faded out back in 1978, it hasn't come back yet and hopefully it won't. Leave the sidepipes to AC Cobra's and mid 60's Vette's.

ok, maybe u are not realizing what im talking about. im not all into eleanor or anything so please dont think i am. obviously some of the things on that car were nice but everyone knows its overplayed. let me see if i can show you what im talking about. just look at he side exhaust part of the pictures, these are from mustangdepot in nevada.

I'm inclined to agree here as well, wether it's traditional vette type side pipes or the rocker panel ground effect type you describe, I don't think they belong on a Mustang, it's my opinion though and not my car. What I am a big fan of though is having the pipe exit out the side ala the 65' Shelby GT350, now that si a sweet touch. I still prefer the look of the pipes coming out the back though and prefferably with the right roll pan and some nice tips, not sticking below the stock roll pan or with turn downs.

To answer your question though, I am not aware of any other kit than the E2 one but I have heard that to make it fucntional takes some serious work chopping thru the rocker or using ridiculously small piping and to me if it's restrictive or non functional than esthetic only is the worse reason to do it.

mufflers are not a problem, u just have to buy the right ones, also you can bend a pipe around to fit if done by a competent exhaust shop. its also about having the right tips, they make ones that still have a large area, but are just flattened out to fit under the rocker area, although some rocker panel "dimpling may be neccessary". i have had no luck finding any other options as well. i probably wont do the side exhaust, i was just exploring the option. right now i have dumps, maybe tailpipes will be in my future. all i know is i need something, its too loud and it doesnt help having the exhaust empty right under the back seat area. makes for a lot of resonance

i dont know of many other options for side exhaust. too bad cuz i love the idea of having side exhaust. it looks and sounds awesome having it exit right below the door where you can hear it best. :)
