Looking for some opinions on a tranny

Hey guys I just went through my second aod this time it was a Lentech Street terminator that the planatery gear set shattered and cracked the case. Im sick of aod's so I have been thinking of converting my car over to 5spd, rather then goin with a c4 or something just because i like to have the option to take the car down the highway at reasonable rpms. What do you guys think of the idea ? ?

AOD's do have their fair share of problems. I love stick cars in Mustangs. I would definatley go with some sort of 5-speed. Which type is personal preference. It would be nice to have a donor car like I did when I changed over ny notchback, but that is not readily available to everyone. I would say go for it.

Alright, I was offered a WC T-5 for $225 that is in perfect condition with low mileage, that was what originally made me think of the conversion

What 225.00 for a T-5. I cant find one for less than 1000.00 bucks with the bellhousing. Make sure it is rated for 300ftlbs of torque. Use this site for reference's
