I've been searching for a guide on tune-ups specifically for a 96 cobra. NE1 got a guide out there specifically for the 4.6L 4v engine I'm dealing with? It would be really awesome if ne1 can list what I need and in witch order i should approach each replacement/clean up. And if its not too much to ask witch brands should I be buying ie plugs, wires ect.

I have a little mechanical experience but enough to get some DIY action.

Thanks in advance for any help. oh it has around 115k miles on it.

Youre Cobra should have the 4.6-4V, 05+ have the 3V.

Did you just get it? If so I would:
Change plugs, wires-MC
Fuel Filter-MC
Air filter-K&N, or clean it if it allready has one
Flush cooling system

BULLITT Archive Mustang Maintenance, this is for the 2V, but its similar.

Use the search feature, you will probably find everything you need because its all been covered before.

Sorry bout that. always thought it was 3v for about 4years now. I've kept somewhat regular maint on it. Oil/airfilter(K&N style made by bbk)/brakes and such. Any other repairs I've done so far was replace the oil pan gasket(witch was a bitch for my first time on a mustang) Replace the tensioner pulley, replace rotors.

Did a few searches already and i did find simple instructions here and there. Im more or less looking for exact instructions and a plan of attack that doesn't leave me with parts everywhere, witch no one really clarifies.

Of-course I could just open the hood and start pulling things outs and Get'r done! Though that usually leads to rushing, poor use of time, misplacing bolts, skipping steps, overall lack of efficiency.

Thanks allot for the tips and knowledge
