Looking to buy KYB AGX's. Thoughts.

My car is lowered with the Eibach Sportlines, UPR plates, and pissed off stock struts. Car leans to one side and has begun knocking. So... Im looking at the KYB AGX struts. Curious to see what you thought about them, or if i should go with something with a fixed rate. I don't care about launch times, lateral G's, just reliability concerns. Id prefer the adjustable's to adjust to my liking. Thanks.

My buddy has KYB's and he likes them. I just got Tokico D-specs and like them more .

They rock. 4 way front, 8 way rear, and the rears are way easier to adjust that the Toks. And theyre cheap.

Your car "leaning to the side" isnt good though... do you mean when cornering or just sitting there? Eibachs have a track record for sagging over time....

Tokico's are 45 way adjustable. If you want inexpensive with a little adjustability go KYB's. If you want high quality with unlimited adjustment go Tokico's. All depends on what you want to do with the car and how long you want the parts to last.

i like my kyb agx's.. i dont have any problems with them, they handle my drop really well

. I look at the KYB's very seriously. I talked to a few shop s and had the money at the time so went with the Tokico's I wouldn't be adverse to buying the KYB's at all. Most people have had good luck with them.

I have them on my lowered convertable and am very impressed with the performance. So +1 for the AGX. Cant give a comment on the Tokicos cause I havent ever personaly been in a car with them. But I've heard good stuff on them. Hope that helps!

That does help. I was basically looking for horror stories, but didn't get one. The car leans to one side, and knocks on that side only. Upon inspection of the pass. side front strut, it can be compressed by hand, with ease. The springs havent been in long enough anyways, so i doubt its them. Looks like im going with the AGX's thanks.

tokico illuminas. kyb has horrible service and if you try to replace them under warenty they will give you a bunch of BS and will make up any excuse to not replace the shock/strut my friend had them on his honda and had nothing but problems with kybs service and quality ended up replacing 3 of them before he went with tokico

My point is that if the car leans to one side when stationary - its not the shocks its the springs. The springs support the weight of the car, not the shocks.

Thanks for clearing that up 007. I was under the impression that Stangyellow had the special ford struts that control ride height.
