LooKing to get deep into the 12s

Hello everyone, I've got all my parts for my pi swap and I'm ready to install all soon. I'm hoping for high to mid 12s with some MT et streets. My question is am I going to be able to run in the 12s? I have an extra 600 bucks and I'm thinking about getting some No2. Can I run some No2 on this swap? And IF I can whats the safest shot 75-100? Mods That I dont have listed are: P&P PI heads, VT Stage 1 cams, PI intake, Bassani Mid headers, Screamin' Deamon coil packs, Cobra maf, and a few other things.

I think you'll be real close to the 12 second barrier. On a good solid run, you should be able to pull 12.9X's. With a 75 shot, you will easily run 12's.

My best time to date is a 13.8@101 on street tires w/ the mods I have listed in my sig. I'm hoping on street tires of running low 13s.

IMO if he can drive he's going to be in the 12's for sure. I looking for the same high twelves w/ slicks pi heads/intake and the same VT cams. So i believe you have a MAF and headers over me if you have all other bolt ons and gears. I was thinking of some spray too since No2 loves compression. You'll be in the deep 12's with spray for sure, stick with wet injection. 75-100 is fine if your engine's up to par. Good luck with the build, you should be done before me so keep us posted!

12's are easier said than done. Youve got the setup to do it, but dont expect it your first time at the track. I would suggest some upr uppers, lowers, lakewood 90/10, 70/30's, and maybe some fox body springs. Youll really see the help of those et streets with a little susp

Yeap, Down at the track over 100 times, Near perfect reaction times .007.

Those are some great times for a non pi on street tires...

My husband did it in his 98 pi swapped car. The biggest difference was the ET streets, and moser axles. His best time was a 11.8 in the 1/4.

near perfect reaction time would be closest to .500 as possible due to the half second switch from last yellow to green, but R/T's don't have anything to do with time, it's mainly the launch. But 100 runs should sure help you get 12's, i see it happening.

Are you going to get different axles regardless of spray? I ask cuz im wondering if im going to have to w/ some MT's

lol uhm reaction is measured by how fast you roll outa the staging beams - perfect reaction is .000. You're supposed to leave on the last amber on a non-pro tree, you start going before the light goes green, and your tires break the beams as close as possible to when the green lights up.

I say you would be good for 12's on a healthy shot and a good tire.

hmm, yeah i guess i was thinking of a pro tree. Last time i've been to the track to run was proly May. But either way the time starts from when your car moves not when the light turns, correct?

I'm looking into it, I just had my gears installed about 8 months ago and I had to pay to get that done. My 60FT on street tires and 3.73 gears is a 2.01 launching at 2500-3000rpm. I dont think thats too bad for 3.73s and street tires. I'm hoping I dont have to install new axles, but if you guys think I should I will.
