First of all, tell us a little about your car. Is it a turbo or n/a? 5-speed or automatic? If you give us a little more info we could help you better.

And without a doubt the best place to buy 2.3/2.3 turbo parts....

teh junkyard.

Don't listen to him, he drives an SRT-4.

Seriously, the best thing you can do is search, look back a few months on this board, and just lurk. All the basic stuff has been answered a million times, you just gotta look for it. And before someone else says it, http://projecthp.ford23.com is your best friend.

Yeah Like notched86 said, what do you have now? Im guessing you are still runnin all stock in which case you now have a whopping 88 hp.

There are a few easy things you can do to make a little more power, and make drivin a little more fun. The first things most of us did was to remove the air silencer, and make an intake (3" PVC worked great for me!) so you can get rid of the muffler thing restricting your airflow. Other than that you can advance your timing, get an aftermarket header or ranger header, and bigger exhaust. there really isnt too much else you can do without getting into the engine, in which case you might as well just go turbo. Suspension upgrades are also fun too, a lot of the 5.0 stuff will work for your 2.3.

If you are looking at esslinger or racerwalsch you are looking at dropping a bit of money in which case anyone here will tell you to find a donorcar and do the turboswap (www.turboford.org is great for info on this, check their faq page and stingers site also.)

In anycase most of what people with these cars do (even the turbo guys) is 'do it yourself' since the aftermarket doesnt have too much to offer for the 2.3's.

I thought this thread was for a 2.3L to go fast?

The header you want is off a 96' Ranger I believe. (Its a tube header)
As for the "Y" pipe and duel mufflers I once heard they did some testing on the 86' SVO that came this way and showd to be more restictive then a single exhaust system is.
