I'm thinking about replacing the entire Mach 460 system in my '97 Cobra with an aftermarket system which will blow it away. I'm looking to keep the cost reasonable and I'm looking mostly for the following:

1) Good Sound Quality

2) Good Bass

3) Single CD/Receiver

4) MAYBE an in-dash DVD or navigation system

5) More power than the Mach 460 (open to suggestions)

I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks ahead of time for all your input! :nice:

I would have a look at JL Audio. They got a nice stealthbox that sounds amazing for its size. Plus you don't have to comprimise trunk space for subwoofers. They also have direct factory replacements for all the speakers.

Also change the deck and add some amps. keep it simple and clean and you will love it.

I would highly recommend getting an MP3 Head unit. It plays CD-R's, CD-RW's, and MP3 CD's that can carry up to about 140 songs. Can't have a great system without a sub, If you want a stealth box to fit on the side the biggest sub you can go is 10''. I have a 12'' sub in my spare tire well. for subs I really like Kicker and speakers i'm a fan of Polk Audio (good mid and highs), and infinity. but if you have money, as Xenon said, JL Audio is great stuff.
