looks like I'll have to call Currie........again.

arr, so I got my new rearend installed and have been driving the car for a couple of weeks when i notice that there's a leak out back. At first i figured "hey, probably didn't get the 3rd member sealed right". But, as it turns out.. it's leaking from one of the welds :notnice: Just knid of pissed at the moment because the good weather has finally arrived here in Washington, and if currie wants me to send it back before they get me a new one, my car will be out of commission for probably 6 weeks at a minimum.:bs:

That's too bad. I have bought two complete rear ends from them and both had minor quality issues that I had to repair. I guess quality is not "job one" there anymore. Maybe you could take it to a local welder to repair the leaking weld which could be a lot quicker? Good luck

yeah, that's what i'll probably end up doing. but i'm going to call currie anyway just to see what they say. part of the problem is that i had the rear end powdercoated, so anything that gets done is going to look like crap unless the whole thing is powdercoated again.

Here's a pic of the leak.

Wow thats leaking out of a plug weld. I got mine powder coated as well and it took for ever to get them because of that option. Yes, the repair is going to screw up the powder coating around that area. Good luck with the repair and getting Currie to make it right.
