Looky what I got hehe

make sure the upper has the egr hole in the middle like a lower. If it is a matched set its ok. but i bought ny old explorer intake and there were both from different years. the lower was egr but the upper wasnt. So putting it on would result in no egr

what if it looks like this

Pretty much the same, just plug the rest of the unused ports.

well there are 5 vcauum lines that go to the intake. pcv, fpr, vacumm tree, carbon canister, and there is a small black vacuum not sure what it is. so that means im going to have to make a 3 way vacuum thing. I just dont know if i can do it from that small hose, if it will pull enough vacuum for 3 things

haha thanks man, its the most ive ever gotten into my engine, and its the first power mod im doing. I cant wait till its running. I just have to get the upper bolts tomorrow and split the vacuum line and it shoud hook up. Hopfully we stabed the dizzy correct  or atleast i hope itll start to the point where i can get it to get it timed. Im very proud of myself i took apart the whole top of the motor, Rsstang got here when i was about to take off the lower intake, forgot 2 bolts :bang: haha but it all went very smooth, ill post pics up in a second.

MOB, I drilled an tapped no. 5 on your picture, and put the stock tree from my stock intake in, plugged no. 3, used no. 2 to the canister, an number 4 i plugged.

Also, my freinds neighbor was an engineer for SLP (he designed the first SLP foxbody cat back on his buddies super clean 40000 mile 91 LX) and told me to locate the ACT sensor in the cold air, he said it gets a much more acurate reading by doing that. Good luck again with the swap.

AHH I thought I posted that but when I saw your thread I was like where the hell did it go! haha damn firefox and its tabs, ive never done that before.
