Loose door panel

Are there some tabs I need to bend back to tighten this up? The passenger side moves too but only a little bit

You can see on there that the panel hooks on the top of the inner door so my guess is that needs to be bent back into shape.

That’s what I figured. I need to retrofit a linear door actuator on the driver side too. I guess I’ll go in there and do that too. I already did a linear door actuator on the passenger side and it’s been working perfectly for a few years now.

I have the same issue on both sides. Mine was caused when I pried open the metal a bit in order to get the window guide rod out to replace the guide bushings. I thought I pushed it back in far enough but it wasn't. Once you remove the panels, push in the metal "fin" that runs along the top.

Do you mean push in the part on the panel, or the door?

The top of the door panel curves over like a j-hook. The metal "fin" that it hooks on to is part of the door itself.

I got everything back together. The assembly sounds solid when you close the door. Before it was a rattle fest! New door lock actuator, adjusted door panel mount and adjusted window bumper. Im happy
