Ok, here is the deal..For my girl friend’s birthday, I bought her 17x9 chrome Cobra R rims for her 2003 Mustang GT convertiable..Now we are trying to get tires (looking at 255/275) for the rims, and her father, brother, and the tire guy are telling me the rims are going to rub, and probably not going to fit in the GT's wheel-well..I tell them that it will fit... Can anyone give me a straight answer; will there be a rubbing issue with the 17x9 rims with either a 255 or 275 tires??? Thank you in advance

They don't know what they are talking about.Lots of people here
have 17X9 Cobra R's and don't have a problem with rubbing.Ditto
I would not run 245's because there will be no wheel protection.
I would at least have 255's all around so, you have some wheel
protection.Anyone have any pics of your 17X9 combo?

At work I put a set of 17x9's Cobra R's on my friends 99 v6 modle. For some reason when he got the wheels there were different offsets for 2 and 2. At first when we stuck them on there the wrong offset didn't want to fit up front.... moved to the rear after figuring out they were different and no problems at all.... 275/45/17 BFG KDW in all 4 corners, no rubbing plenty of clearance, just make sure you get the right offset put where need to be.

tell them foch off......heres mine 275/35/18 all four corners. 255 is probably good for 9 inch rim 265 if you can find tires.

ADR 18x9.5 rims.

just a slight touch of rubbing if you crank the wheel all the way over. Not even worth mentioning.
