Losers telling me 17x9 not possible...

You've got 315's on a 7" wide rim.........man, they must look like balloons? :rlaugh:

Actually they are 17X7-1/2 inches. But yes, I do have 315-75-R17's on there. BFG's same as the H2's. They are not balooned too bad at all. They look really big though.

I just think they don't want you f'in around with his daughter/sister's Mustang.

My sis's boyfriend once tried to buy and put this tacky ass chrome mesh grill on my sis's '05 Max. No way was I about to let that happen

I think the same thing. Her parents probably just don't understand that what he's doing is not going to look tacky.

I run 275s all around on 18x9s no rub at all. I actually want to go wider in the back, it doesnt fill the fender as much as the front, the front is perfect.

Although I have 17's I was thinking about getting some spacers for the back ... What does :SNSign: think about rear wheel spacers??

Quality hubcentric spacers ok. I prefer to say to upgrade the lugs in the back for safety's sake.

cheap pep boys $20 spacers are bad m'kay

Wasn't planning on going teh pep boys route. Where does one purchase 'upgraded lugs' (whatever that means) or "Quality hubcentric spacers" (whatever that means).

You always teach me some crazy ass terminology in your posts and your advise is usually sound so how bout' learning me on some spacers. :uzi: <-- never gets used.

Ha sorry man, i come from an mechanical engineering background so i guess it's just how i talk.

Anyway hubcentric spacers put most of the weight on the center hub of the axle and not the lugs. Maximum motorsports makes the best, but prepare to spend a little.

upgraded studs are just lugs that are hardened to they will be less prone to snapping. I don't have a link offhand but summit racing carries them as well as the major axle brands. They are cheap, maybe $20-25 for 10 for the rear and an hour or so to install but it's cheap insurance against losing a wheel even if the hubcentric spacers don't necessarily require them. Like i said before, i would run them for safety.

considering 17x9 is one of the tire options from the factory i would do the smart thing and go to another tire shop. would you want a TIRE GUY who doesn't even know anything about wheels/tires mounting and balancing your wheels????

Meh, I'm used to the techy lingo (not that I always understand lol). My stepdad has an aerospace engineering degree and I've learned a lot from him. I like learning this type of stuff because then I can make well thought out decisons (purchasing) that I hopefully won't regret. I'll look into the MM's. Thx for the info. :flag:
