Losing horsepower w/dumps?

I put some dumps on the stang a couple weeks ago, and it seems now like it lost some power, just a little, but it seems like it. Anybody else experience this after switching to turndowns? Also, did you have problems with the turndown pipes knocking against the axle? Mine stuck out a little so I trimmed them down, but I'm getting this ungodly sounding knock anytime I go over a bump now, I think they're knocking.

yup,,the 5.0 needs a certain amount of back pressure,by dumping your exhaust(I tried it also) your losing that back pressure,and your losing your bottom end torque

yea i have the same issue . Solution = turbo or supercharge

See sig... lol What about the knocking? I liked the dumps for about 3 days, now I hate em. It's not a lot louder than it was, it just doesn't sound like a Mustang anymore.

Exactly I had my bullets dumped,and it sounded more like a school bus then a 5.0 I didnt have any knocking.
