Losing Power!!!

My 90 gt has 176,000 miles on it. I've noticed that it really seems to be losin power from about 4k RPM and up. Is this just an old engine problem or something else. How can it be fixed?

If could be many things. Weak spark, poor timing are a couple problems. Does it do this more at full throttle or does it do this continuously. Check fuel pressure when it does this.

my bran new engine was doing that, set the timing at 14 instead of the 30 it was at, and it was done - pulled like a son of a bitch

When was the last time the car has had a tuneup? Just do a general maintenence check... timing, compression, air filter and stuff. We really need more info on your car and how well you take care of it.
