As we all know the Mac CAI is a show intake only. so some guys advised me to keep the mac filter with the chrome elbow. and pull out the rest of the pipe and replace it with the stock tube. Thats great , but one thing i didnt get. someone told me to prevent the car from runing rich i should turn the elbow and the MAF 90 degrees?? what did he mean by that!?

any comments will help
thx

Turning the Mass Air meter moves the sample tube to the opposite side of the tube and into the incoming air stream to theoretically give you a more accurate air reading. To tell you the truth, the effects are mostly exaggerated and doing so probably won't make the slightest bit of noticeable difference.

Agreed. Moving the mass air meter probably isn't going to do much for you. All the experts and people with experience agree that the MAC unit and other chrome/metal units should be avoided as well as those with a curve in front of the MAF. Do a search, you'll see what I mean. I know. I had the BBK unit on my car at one point in time but got rid of it in favor of the K&N FIPK unit. I prefer the K&N unit much better.
