I own a 1998 mustang GT manual with 136k miles. When I bought it, radiator is crack, so I replace it, ( my mechanic replace a automotive radiator, not a manual readiator . you guy think that cause the problem ? ) 2 week later I found coolant is leak out of my thermostat bolt, so I went and bought a new T-Stat and 0-ring. when I install it, I found out that my old t-stat dint have an 0-ring, is the 0-ring support on top of the t-stat or under the t-stat ? after install I add more coolant, runing to normal temperture, take it for a ride, then went home, I saw alot coolant leak out near the coolant cap, you guy think my cap is cause coolant to loose or any thing cause my coolant to loose ? my car temperture now is not point to the mid temperture any more, its point very closer to the middle, what happent ? thanks

the coolant crossover on the intake manifold has cracked and the whole intake manifold needs to be replaced with the updated model with an aluminum crossover. there should be an o-ring on the thermostat, the part number is F1VY-8255-BA if i remember offhand, its been a long day. the updated manifold kit from Ford will have an o-ring in it. from the sounds of it, you also did not properly fill the cooling system. it must be burped to allow all of the air pockets to escape.

an automatic radiator is fine in a manual car. i have one in my car with no ill effects on cooling.

the leak is very hard to see with the naked eye. it usually happens where the alternator bracket bolts to the crossover.

technically there isn't a recall, just a legal settlement. Ford no longer honors it, as the proper time to file has expired.

I'm guessing English isn't your first language. If it isn't, keep trying, you're getting better. If it is, well, its very hard to understand.
