Lost some weight!

I would guess I pulled about 20-25 LBS. out of the rear of the car yesterday. Cut out most of the sound insulation in the rear area around the hatch, cut the insulation off of the carpet, and scraped the tar stuff out all the way up to the seats. Those two sound mats between the carpet and the spare are pretty heavy! Hoping to get to summit tomorrow so I can get the AC delete bracket and clean that out as well. I would like to get the car well under 3k, or at about 3k with me in it.

Quick question....The gross vehicle weight stamped on the door says 4k plus pounds, but my registation says it weighs 3198....I really don't think it weighs over 2 tons....Is that normal? Just thought it was wierd.

I believe the 4k reading is with passengers, mine say the same thing, I went through and removed alot of stuff too, got mine down to 2900lbs

The gross vehicle weight is supposed the be the maximum weight of the car including passengers and cargo. It would be nice if they would put the actual weight of the car on the data sticker.

Are you planning for this to be a straight line car or a road course car?
