I have a PC and Super 40 flowmasters, the tone is just to die for but the combo is too quiet for my tastes, I wish it had the volume of a regular off-road pipe. So is there anyway to keep this same tone but just up the volume???

I like Pro3 and all I got was this crappy CT.

You could try a pair of Spintech Pro-Streets. They don't sound exactly like a Flowmaster, but they still have the chambered sound since they too use chambers to quiet the exhaust. Those should up the volume quite a bit.

IMHO, though, DO NOT swap for 1-chamber Flowmasters. They sound like ass. You'll get the volume, but the tone sucks. Its like the difference between a "finely tuned muscle car"-loud and "rusty '75 Chevy pickup with 1.5" glasspacks"-loud. The 1-chambers sound like the latter.

you're prochamber should be a little quieter with an exotic tone characteristic to it. Keep that setup. Putting more money into changing mufflers will be just a waste. What other mods do you have? If you haven't done any intake mods do it. It'll fill out the sound making a more round healthy sound.

Find a muffler shop that is not afraid of custom work. Have them trim off some of the chamber and reweld it. I was thinking about that when I had my PC and Steeda catback. I had a shop that would do it, but got rid of the PC before I had a chance.

OR, buy a cheap Mac offroad H and have them box in the H. Would have a similar effect.

Im sure if you replaced your setup wth a 3 inch prochamber and mufflers you will get the sound you want but will hurt performance. Or maybe remove the tail pipes and go with turn down tips off the mufflers, will make the car sound louder on the inside but not really make much a difference on the out side.

Why do you want it loud?It just makes everyone laugh when they see you/hear you get all over it and it really not going anywhere close to as fast as it should.I laugh at GTs all the time with loud exhaust and they are about as fast as stock (even though I own a GT, but its stock). Its really just like the ricers, making people think your fast when your not....unless you have a full exhaust or some motor mods to back it up, not just some cat back LOL. Just my opinion.

Haha, I usually say the same thing. I love the quietness of my 99 and the fact that it runs good without being loud.

Sometimes it's fun to annoy old people, and stragglers in verts. Go fast parts are 'spensive.....exhaust is cheap in comparison.

I 100% agree. Also I had the Pro-chamber with some Spintech Pro-streets and I hated it. Dumped both for Bassani exhaust and disliked it too. It was just too loud. Now I am back with the traditional o/r h-pipe with MAC Flowpaths (my original exhaust mod two years ago). I think the H-pipe sound better than the pro-chamber.
This is an exhaust question and everybody has their own opinions. This is mine.

exotic? No exotic sounding exhaust is where the exhaust gets quieter the higher you rev it like straight through mufflers. The prochamber sounds like american muscle. Its just not high pitched and raspy at high rpms like an x pipe is. If you want loud but still somewhat american muscle sound go with a dr. gas x. I've yet to hear a prochamber custom exhaust with long tubes im sure it would sound awesome.

LOL what??? What do you mean people laugh when its going nowhere??? All i get are compliments on how awesome it sounds, and people always telling me to rev it. Obviously the world is full of egomaniac drag racers that are just randomly going to come up to you and laugh at your "slow" car.....
