We have the Bassani axel back and X-pipes on our 05 Mustang and it sounds frikin great!! I have never heard a better growl from a newer car. Its sounds like the muscle cars back in the day. Its pretty mellow at idle but plant your foot and it definatley gets attention from pedestrians. Hehehe

I HAVE BASSANI X-PIPE AND MAGNAFLOWW AXLE-BACK ON MY '05 GT AND IT SOUNDS REALLY GOOD. THROATY AND PRETTY LOUD WITHOUT A LOT OF DRONE AT HIGHWAY SPEED. IT MUST SOUND NICE, AS THE LOCAL P.D. HAS MADE IT A HABIT OF FOLLOWING CLOSE BEHIND SO THEY CAN ADMIRE THE TONE...

What exactly is a Magnapack compared to a magnaflow catback? Is it something to do with catalytic converters or is it just a different catback?

magnapacks are resonators (spelling) they are cylinder shaped rather than traditional muffler shaped. They are straight through, they act like the old classpacks of the day. Similar design to SLP, but I feel SLP is louder and poppier giving that classic 70's iron sound.

no problem. Get the packs if you need an exhaust right now. But I garruntee that SLP will have the loudest meanest sounding exhaust once their done.
