He said it has ran 7's "before". Those times could have come from a different motor or they could have sprayed the piss out of it untill someone spilled a strawberry milkshake in the oil.

im just saying i really don't think its not in the 7's... he has mostly stock car with just intake and gears... with a c4... u don't know how built it is or what kind of stall he its running... at best i say 8's or mid 9's... because thats what i have seen at the track

Alright you guys have to read the ad...

He says the car has GT40 heads, Intake, and he doesnt know much about the combo otherwise. It is apparent it has more than just that. It has a C4 which Im sure has a high stall in it (never seen someone drop a C4 in without the intent of racing the car), 4.30 gears etc... He claims it has run LOW 7s, which is why its questionable. He also tells that he isnt the owner, he got it from a friend, so he doesnt know the info. It sounds legit, and I believe the car has been 7 something in the 1/8th (Hell I have been 7.94 on my weak combo).

I think there is too much reading into this ad. He sounds legit, admits the cars faults, and to not knowing what is exactly in it, or what exactly it ran. I wouldnt buy the car unless he was asking a rediculousely low price, but hey, it doesnt sound like someone lying.

I agree if you havent run it, then you havent, but if the car has gone that fast, and your selling the car, I see no reason you cant mention it!

If you thought he was talking about low 7's in the 1/4 your an idiot and a waste of air, period. There is no doubt in my mind the car would run low 7's with the motor thats in the car, if its not hurt. Why dont you keyboard jockeys do some research for once, before spouting off well it can run that, since my hobbiled together combo with better parts isn't even out of the mid 8's

I asked him about it running in the 7's
here was the response
Q: Your description says that the car runs low 7's. Do you have a timeslip to prove this. The car looks like it will barely run 7's in 1/10th of a mile?????????

A: I would not say anything that is not true, if you have intentions of buying it please drive down here and I will personally take you to the previous owners who can verify what I said. Mark

Low 8s high 7s, thats what I run... Actually 7.94 @ 85.6 with a 1.69 60' time... what does your timeslip look like?

If you cant tell I do drag race, and do believe the car can and will run those times. And I believe the owner has the car, doesnt know much about it like a lot of Mustang owners and is giving the honest info as he knows it, nothing wrong with that.

Should be or is an 8.1. It is much harder to run a time than it is to claim a time as we learned from this thread .

Well I sure hope you do, as claiming LOW 8s and high 7s in the 1/8th with only an 8.7 timeslip can get you in trouble, fast!

A buddy of mine runs low 7's (actualy just gotten into the 6's) in the 1/8,with a 302 and basicly stock heads and a small cam....

But this was with a carbed motor,250hp shot plate,C4 with a 10" (dunno exact stall around 3500rpm) conveter,4.10 gears,and all in a 2600-2700lbs Mavrick.

Oh and with slicks of course.
