Swapped to a J4J1 ECM today in my 95 GT, my Low Coolant light will not turn off even after cleaning the contacts in the overflow bottle as well as jumping the contacts together. Any ideas? I searched only to see threads about cleaning the contacts, nothing else.

The J4J1 allows me to drive the car again, idles puuuurfect now :nice:

Did you put your meter on each wire and note the readings?

Good luck.

One wire should have 12V. Ground one lead on your meter and probe both wires w/ the car running. You shoud have 12V at one if them. If you don't, then the 12V feed is not working. If you have 12V at one wire, get a jumper and jump the two leads on the sensor and then restart the car. See if the light goes out, b/c it should. If it doesn't, the wire that tells the comp that the coolant level is fine is not making a connection.
