weirdest thing....my low oil light came on tonight and it will not go off....I checked the oil and the dipstick reads full and the oil pressure is fine, right where it normally is on the gauge...the only thing I can think of is that the temperature has just fallen from 60s-70s everyday to 40s-50s...I don't know what to think....is the car safe to drive....on a really tight budget right now and would prefer not to change the oil right away unless I have to seeing as how I am about to have to spend big money this weekend....what do you all think?

and that would not trip a check engine light?...I don't know too much about the computing side of auto mechanics but I guess I thought that if a sensor or other computer part went bad that the CE light would come on...am I mistaken cuz I very well may be..

No not really it's almost like your o2 sensors going bad your car will run like crap, run lean/rich and no CE light at all. Actually when I worked at ford as a tech helper a few years ago I worked on a stang that had the oil light come on and off intermittently it turned out to be the oil pressure sensor (next to the oil filter) and no CE light. It's a pretty cheap sensor and a good place to start.
