Well. Of course since I moved it this week and mopped the garage floor, I was able to easily identify a few drops of oil on the garage floor tonight. It doesn't appear to be coming from the engine anywhere. It is in the general area of the transmission crossmember. Car is so low and the Mac Pro Chamber hanging down blocks my line of sight. Definitely that area right at that crossmember. What do you guys think I'm looking at? I mean, what's there? Could it be a tailshaft seal or could it be where the speed sensor goes into trans? 5 speed T-5.

You'll know when you jack it up. I had the same thing last week. Mine ended up being the speed sensor was cracked.

It was dripping trans fluid on the drivers side X pipe. Some was dripping to the floor, some on the crossmember and then to the passenger side x pipe. It sure was making a mess that little sensor.

Yeah. If I were a betting man, I would say tail shaft seal only because I believe it's original. I've had the car since '97, and I know I've never changed it.

Speed sensor was changed, twice I think, in the time I've had her.

But you never know.
