wsup man....well im planning on painting my car hopefully in a few weeks when i make some money, and i know you have pics of the cans of paint you used.....when i went to the body shop, they told me it was a tri-cote paint, and that it was the 2nd most expensive OEM paint next to caddy white pearl....anyway i remember telling you this and you showed me pics of your cans you used that were 2-cote paint which was cheaper....if you can show me those pics so i can get teh paint soon that would be awesome......this goes out to all other laser red car owners too.........thanks a lot guys!!

Are you talking about a stages or coates?

single stage - no clear

2 stage - base, clear

3 stage - base, mid clear/pearl/candy/etc., clear

that's probably just them trying to upsale you, your best bet is find a reputable PPG or HK dealer and have them set you up with a badass two stage that you want and then tell the body guy thats what you want.

I have laser on my 94. I would like to get it repainted. I am a little scared to know what it will run me. Maybe I will do it myself?

I don't know the exact price, but I think it was around either $35 or $70 for one quart. I remember one can was around $35, but I can't remember whether that was for one pint or one quart tho.

I don't know how much paint was used on mine since I didn't paint it, but we used just under a gallon on dad's car. That was two full coats plus under the hood, door jams, and trunk.
