Hey, I have an 88 5.0 and have a sorta weird question. My question is about torqueing the lower intake manifold. I am about to install Gt40 heads and Gt40 upper and lower intake manifold and am concerned about the torque. My friend and I replaced his head gaskets last week on his 5.0 and after I was done torqueing the lower intake manifold, I went to go recheck the torque with the torque wrench and found that the bolts had to be torqued again. I torqued them down and recheck and found that the passeneger side bolts were still not torqued but the drivers side ones were. I continued with the torque sequence again (never loosening the bolts, just continuing) and after rechecking again, I found the the passenger side bolts needed to be tightened again as the drivers side was tight. I did this step about 4 times all together and then just left the bolts alone. To me I dont think that the bolts were stretching or anything like that, should I have continued torquing or sound I have stopped? I dont want to run into this problem with my car but if I do what should I do? Please let me know as I'm starting this prject very soon. Thank you.

Do the torquing sequence and keep going over and over them until their all about the same. When I did my lower intake, I had to do the whole thing about 10 times before all of them tightened up equally at the torque setting. You don't want any bolts loose...
