OK I have had enough. I have a vortech supercharged 5.0 and it has trickflow twisted wedge heads and gt-40 upper and lower. I have replaced the gasket 5 times now and i am trying to find out if there is something else i should try. I use high temp rtv for the front and the back and its starts to leak after a few hours of running. my friend told me not to use cork or the rubber ones. what should i try?

Do you let the RTV set for 5 minutes or so before you put the intake on?

I've used "Right Stuff" gasket maker by permatex on a few 5.0 intakes at the front and back(I let it cure a few hours before running the motor) and haven't ever had a leak out of them. You likely aren't using enough rtv where the intake gasket surface meets the engine block.

Here's the gasket maker I mentioned, most parts stores carry it.

Sounds to me like you're somehow applying boost pressure to the crankcase, or not sufficienctly venting the crankcase and that's blowing the rtv seal out.

Are you sure you don't have any path for boost to get to the crankcase? How is your pcv set up configured? How is the crankcase ventilated?
