Lower RPM Miss

I have a miss that seems to be only at idle or lower rpms. Its weird because its not ALWAYS at idle....sometimes I don't feel a thing. I also hear a tick from the engine bay...and was thinking that it could be a plug wire arcing. Is this probable?

This miss is causing me to only run on 7 cylinders right? As soon as I gas it a little bit the imss disappears.

mine does that when the throttle is barely being touched, low rpm miss..... kinda like a jerk once in a while when in high gear....haven't found my problem yet, but looking at wires as well. they are taylors they better not have went bad that fast

The thing is, I know one of my wires was touching the EGR a while back, and its blackened in that spot. My wires are also fairly new...

i had what i thought was a miss at low rpm but it was a dirty MAF

i don't know about him but i have cleaned the MAF

It sounds like a small exhaust leak.

I guess the exhaust leak is a possiblity, but woudl that cause a miss? Theres a terrible vibration at idle. Its definetally a misfire, I just don't know why.

Are you running the stock manifold? If so then it probably isn't an exhaust leak.

I would pull the wires and visual check them out and take Volt meter and ohm out the wires. Stock wires should be around 1K or less I think. I would also check the plugs, and just take a wrench to the header bolts to see if any feel loose.

Well...changed the wires...still misfire. I also found 1 loose plug and tighteneded that but still a misfire...

I think the ticking is gone...I'll check later...prom is tonight.
