I recently lowered my Mustang 1.5 inches with Tokico Springs and Shocks/Struts and now there's a clunk coming from the rear when i go over bumps, have jack it up twice and no bolts are loose and nothing is hitting, the sound seems to be coming from the rear Shocks/Struts or Springs, all spring insulators are in right also ,check that twice, only thing i can see it to be is the top bolt of the strut, maybe i did not tighten it enough, how tight should it be. or maybe this is normal for high performance springs and shocks. Thanks for any help.

Check where the Magnaflow Catback goes over the rear axle, it is probably hitting your sway bar on larger bumps.

Did you change out your differential bump stop? When lowering you need a shorter one.

Check to see if the catback is hitting the sway bar. Some have had that problem with the Magnaflow. And I can't help but notice you have one.

Had mine lowered and it did the same thing. Took it to a muffler shop and they took care of it for me. They had to adjust the catback.

I never had a clunk sounds, but while checking my exhaust one day I did notice that it had barely rubbed the rear sway bar a little (driver's side). I have a find a happy medium between for adjusting the exhaust between the sway bar and the gas tank though.

I had the same problem when I lowered my GT and I have magnaflow exhaust as well. I think it just needs to be realigned to reduce the clunk over bumps.

Right on Rocketman! I had the same problem after installing my lowering springs and just grinded down the differential bump stop and the noise went away!

Mine did the same thing to, I have Borla Catback, mine was hitting where the exhaust came over the rearend, you could see the rub marks on the exhaust, I heated the pipe up and used a ballphine hammer and added a relief contour on each pipe, no more sound
