Well, I got my BBK progressives onto the car, and I swapped out my 18x8.5 06 GT bullitts for my stock 17x9 5 stars. I'm selling the bullitts to pay for a supercharger. I also added a Roush style Ford Racing rear bumper blackout. I didn't get quite the drop I was expecting, but I think the urethane isolators have something to do with that. It looked better with the 18s, which in the future I plan on 18x9/10 FR500s. The handling is way better, and I like the bit of ground clearance I have left while not looking all 4x4.

I saw your car in person at Picadilly pub about 2 sundays ago. I was in the silver GT parked next to the red 10th anniversary Cobra down near the end of the line.

Stock wheels are 17x8.

Only the '03/04 cobra and '95 Cobra R came stock with 17x9's

Ah. That explains why these sat lower in a stack than my ROH 17x9s stacked next to them. Odd though, they both had 245.45.17s on 'em. What is the widest tire I can put on these 17x8s? I want more rubber out back until I get new rims.

5L5-Where's Picadilly Pub? Are you talking about the A+W NEBOC meet?

Rt 38 in tewksbury. I could have sworn it was your car there with a Blue Mach 1?? I remember the Ford Racing decals on the lower bumper.

You could put a 275/40/17 on a 17x8, but it will have a lot of sidewall bulge and may not handle as well. Plenty of guys have done it though.

Wasn't me dude. I just put that on this week. Hey, do they make the rims i have on now in a DD format? I like 'em alot, I just want more width...I'd love to have them in 17x10.5 or something like that. Too bad a company doesn't do that, or widen the ones I have...

Not that I am aware of. You'd have to send them out to get them widened.

Any idea how much that would cost? Probably like my left nut or something like that lol. Besides, then the offset would probably be wrong. I just need to start saving for the hypercoated FR500s.

Lol you could prob buy a set of FR500's for what it would cost to widen 2 wheels.

FR500's would look better anyway

BTW, what's the deal with that red Fox Mustang??

Springs were on my 87 for three years, they're broken in just fine. Grille delete is on the way

5L5- that's my old 87, it's like 75% parted out already, and then it's going to the boneyard.

those wheels were on all 2001-2004 deluxe Mustangs.

The premiums got the bullitt wheels.

Your car looks good...This is just my opinion, but Im not really diggin the Ford racing decal on the back. It kinda makes the rear look too busy. Other than that it looks sick, & some 18" dd FR500's in any color would set it off.

I think those rims look great and they are one of the lightest rims ever issued on Mustangs.

Yeah, I noticed the weight difference when I was working with them, they were easy to toss around. Epik- I'm kinda liking it, and when I'm done with the other things I'm going to do back there, I think it'll tie in nicely. And yeah, those wheels came with the car. Here's a weird thing: My car has neither traction control nor ABS? Is that normal? The weren't hacked off either, it just never came with it from the factory.

It was optional for 2004. I beleive ABS/TC was an $800 add-on to either the GT deluxe or GT premium package.

I know back in 2004 when i was looking for a Mustang a lot of the '04's i looked at did not have ABS/TC. Since it was going to be a daily driver and driven in rain and light snow, i needed it, so i ended up buying a slightly used '03 that had ABS/TC standard.

I think Ford made it optional in 2004 because they had to increase the price of the Mustang but didn't want to make it look like they did so.
