Lowered the car, stock rims back on, pics. 56k warning!

I thought ABS was standard on Stangs. I think ABS is a good thing to have. As far as traction control, Im sure it serves its purpose, but I wish the traction control was only on when you hit the button, not the opposite like it is. So if your stang doesnt have the button, TC is always on, or you dont have TC?

If you don't have the button, you don't have T/C period. In the later years, no T/C also means no ABS.

There is a module someone sells that is a memory unit for the traction control. It plugs inline and remembers the last setting. So if you turn the traction control off, it will remain off even if you turn the car on and off an infinite number of times. Only way to turn it back on is to hit the button again. It was around $50 and unsure if it sold well as people used to comment "For $50 i can just remember to hit the damn button". WHo knows if it's still available

Yeah I would rather hit the button than pay $50. I just hate when I wanna get on it,or do a burnout & I 4get to turn it off. I did this alot when I 1st got it, because my 97 Cobra never had TC. Ive gotten used to it now though & I usually just turn it off now.

My first experience with it came right after i bought the car and some little honda was trying to mess with me. I said F it and got on it in 1st gear to pass him. I hit 2nd, spun the tires and the TC kicked in and it felt like i lost 200HP as the car went nowhere even though it was floored. Little civic came farting by me.
