lowering clearance

I have the Performance Wheel Outlet cobra r's on my 2000 GT. 17X9's in the front and 17X10.5's in the rear. Tire size is 275/40 front and 315/35 rear. Now I want to lower the car but these wheels and tires stick out in the front and back so I know Im gonna have some clearence issues. So I was curious who was running this same exact wheel and tire combo with lowering springs??

What springs and shocks are you using, got any pics??

well i have 17x9's all the way around with 275/40 rubber & i lowered mine 1 1/2 in. & no clearance issues at all. i installed mac springs & still have the stock shocks & struts at the moment. i'll try to post a pic tonight, because i don't have my pic formated right at the moment. i don't have it right now & i'll have to re-scan it to get it fixed

If i put on lowering springs and keep everything else stock, will i have a problem with increased tire wear?
