Lowering my car have alot of questions I need help with

I am installing Ford Racing B springs soon and I was wondering am I going to need C/C plates or a bumpsteer kit, or steeda X2 balljoints or should everything be fine without any of this?Should I have any problems without any of it? thanks

If your funds are tight, you can just do the springs and an alignment shop should be able to get your alignment to within specs ok. If you got the money, those other parts you mentioned would be a good idea. Also, now would be a good time to get decent shocks and struts.

the bumpsteer and x2 ball joints i dont feel are nessesary after you lower it take it to be alligned and if they cant get it within specs then you will need the cc plates but the other two items are for extreme entusiasts..i dont feel they are needed for normal driving conditions

What trav said...Unless you ever plan on open tracking or autocrossing. I dont know how much those springs lower the car..if its a lot like around 2 in. then you may want a bumpsteer kit. I have a 1.5 in drop and I have a bumpsteer kit. THe nice thing about the bumpsteer kits is the spherical rod ends...they are a much nicer piece than the stock rod ends (in some cases they may improve steering response, since there is no play in them).

They are only suposed to lower it around an inch and I have kyb shocks and struts im putting on with it and I was going to replace a balljoint and a few bushings while i was doing it.

On an additional note, I have noticed "clanging" since my lowering springs. The exhaust hits somewhere on occasional hard acceleration. It could also be b/c my rear shocks are shot too.

when i put my C springs on, I didn't need a bumpsteer kit or caster& camber plates. You should be fine just getting it aligned.

dont spend the cash on the plates unless the shop tells you that you need them when aligning it, maybe see if you can order them to have them and if they dont need them you can return them if your scared about it but i have seen people write that installed sportline springs...a 2" drop and not need plates so with only 1 inch i would imagine that they should be able to get it really close
