He might be talking about the lowering of the car thus being more prone to being rolled over by the SUV's that 5'2" women drive that can barely see over the 3' diameter steering wheel.

I think that's what he means by more dangerous in an accident. Your lower bumper hight in a collision. reminds me of an accord that I saw that got rear ended. It's front wheels were still on the ground, but the back wheels were on the roof of the car that hit it. That was quite a sight.!

Well if you want to get that techincial, having lowering srings are better in an accident, it'll greatly reduce break dive which won't cause your nose to slide under another car/truck/suv.

Either way, any car out there is not safe in an accident with a Semi or other large truck anyway.

I don't think that argument is gonna work for him...Dusstbuster: Awww, but geee Mom, race cars have lowering springs so why can't I? Mrs. Dusstbuster: Now Beaver, race cars also have roll cages, do you need one of those too? Now, run along and play, your father will be home soon...
No offense intended, Dusstbuster , but, guys, he lives at home, under his parents roof...you know, where you have to live by their rules...
My advice...save your money and move out ASAP...then you can do whatever you want. How old are you Dusstbuster?

Im 17, will be moving out next fall for college. Its not so much that i have to go by their rules as it is, the car is titled to my mom so it IS technically her car still. I think i talked them into it now too so the stuff should be going on soon hopefully....if not drastic measures will be taken.
