I want to get a set of lower springs for my 93 GT convertible...I see alot of used lower springs that will work I think, but most of them are for GT's or coupes...not convertibles whats the difference? Can i use springs form a coupe or hatchback type mustang what will happen if i do? i want the car to be pretty level and sit alot lower then it does now...It sits really high in the rear compared to the front? i have major wheel gap in the rear...its ugly...lol...so what type of lowering springs should i look for or buy? Thanks....

H&R supersports or Eibach sportlines shoud give you the type of drop u are looking for... I think the only difference with Verts is that they weigh a little bit more, so maybe some of the spring manufacturers make springs with a stiffer spring rate for verts but in all actuality, I bet all there springs are the same... For what its worth, I have used Fox body lowering springs on my 03 mach before & they worked fine...Any spring from 79-04 will fit your ride....

This is with FRPP B-springs with the isolators removed. Also MY_85_GT, you don't smell like gas everytime you drive the car with an offroad h-pipe. I though about one but I felt that with the top down I would smell exhaust fumes all the time.

Thanks for the picture and advice...What does removing the isolators do? does it effect the ride?...

I had my top down today never smelt anything no fumes at all...I love the Off road H-pipe but i have to put on cats here in NJ...so im going with BBK catted H-pipe...but as far as what i have now..no there is now fumes....:nice:

I have been thinking this difference between coupe and convertible springs. Could it be that convertible springs are softer because convertible body is more flexible and softer than coupe's. Stiffer springs would mean more flexing on body.
