Trying to make my mind up which set of springs I am going to put in the Mach.. In between MRT's or H&R's.. However, I do not want to hurt the 60 foot time TOO much. For those with timeslips before and after spring installation was there any major difference in your ET's and 60 foots?
I never ran my car without the H&R springs, so I don't have anything to compare my 60 fts. against.
With drag radials and the front sway bar in place, I'm cutting mid 1.7 60 ft times which is pretty on par with those with looser suspension setups.

Those fox body springs have good weight transfer, how do they handle otherwise? I occasionally would like to go and canyon carve a bit.. Basically looking for a spring that offers good launch capabilities and decent handling..
I think since I am on a budget, I'll probably do similar... I know I want the illuminas, but with springs and shocks that'll be nearly 700 bucks.. Might get 2 at a time and do the fronts first since the rear is no problem swapping out easier..

They feel like the stock ride other than when you floor the car the nose will lift. For $35 dollars you could try them out...if you don't like 'em toss 'em off a bridge.
You can't have it both ways. Either make a canyon carver or a 1/4 mile car. Once you start to stiffen up the car you will lose a lot of weight transfer. But does a few tenths really matter to you anyways? It is more about trap speed than e.t. A low e.t. just means that you have good traction and a higher trap speed means your car has higher hp. For example, when I went to the track I only ran a 14.26, but trapped at over 101mph. I have seen guys on this board with times in the mid to high 13's trapping the same at 101mph. So it is all up to you what you really want. A true street car that can take turns fast or only go in a straight line.
Now before anyone starts flaming me about how their car can still go fast around turns with a drag oriented suspension is entitled to their opinions.
