What would you suggest to buy for a fox body hatchback... brand, drop? What do you run... any opinions are appreciated!

Well I got a question to add to that.

I recently heard that Apex was bought by Lesjofors. Lesjofors is a Swedish compagny that has been making springs for a little over 150 years. But I heard that just a little too late, my Apex springs were already ordered and instead of getting what I ordered, I got a set of B+G sport Suspension (owned by Lesjofors)

Did anyone ever try those?

Also are the springs all the same (79 to present)? I'm asking that because on the box it says the springs are for 94 and up and I got a 93 GT HB.

As for an answer to your question Cjman15, I heard BBK were quite good. Drop is around 1 1/2". Apex springs were pretty good too but...(stated above). Those I got now, B+G, say they drop 1 3/4" but I have yet to install them.(Wanna be sure they're gonna fit) I've also been told that 1 3/4" is pretty much the lowest you can go without having to install a camber kit.

i have the eibach pro on my car.the ride is a little harsher than my stock 4cyl. springs but they handle alot better.you do need a c&c plates to take full advantage of any kind of spring as ford left the caster and camber a little something to be desired on the fox cars.

I got the FRPP "C" Springs... I'm happy with them, rides better than Eibach Pro's for sure. Doesn't lower your car too much though, just enough to put the top of your front tire at the fender lip and the rear goes down a little too, not as much but that fine w/me because I need room for my slicks. I really don't like it when the top of the tire is up in the fender covered by the fender lip, looks cheesy IMO.

It's hard to tell in this pic because of the shadows...

I have the Ford Racing C springs and they are pretty good. I had Eibach prior and there is a night and day difference between the two of them. The Ford springs ride much better as far as comfort goes but are not as stiff and don't lower the car as much. All in all I like them better personally but my car is also a daily driver and if I were getting springs just for the strip I would recommend the Eibachs or Steeda.

i find that the best springs on the market for a fox today are the ibachs and the h and r's. Both are also the most expensive but provide the best performance and stance.

Eibach and H&R have a better handling spring but for an every day car you really don't want to go lower than an inch. I have the Ford Racing springs and they are a great compromise for performance and streetability. If you go lower than about an inch, potholes and speed bumps can become a hazard and if you really want your bumpers to work like they should, an inch is about all you can afford. I have eibachs on my 70 mustang and the progressive rate springs are great but it is just impractical to drive on an every day basis.

Eibach Sportline... 2'' drop... 255/40/17 front, 265/40/17 rear on 17x9 wheels (no rubbing)...
not that practical for daily driving in new york... your better off with a 1 1/2'' drop for a daily driver... I think my 2'' drop looks sweet

I am also looking into lowering my car. Anybody have anything to say about Tokito spings?

Here they are... good price too.
